Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a KS2 Learning Support Assistant for a long-term role at a welcoming primary school in Knowsley. You will provide 1:1 support to KS2 pupils, assist the teacher with lesson delivery, and help maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom focused on SEN needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary KS2 setting.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication with children, staff and parents.
• DBS check or willingness to complete one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students, tailoring approaches to individual learning needs.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson plans and classroom management.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
• Support pupils with SEN to engage with the curriculum and take breaks for sensory circuits as needed.
• Adapt quickly to new school environments and follow school policies.
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff.
