Job summary

Flourish Education in Droitwich is seeking a skilled Key Stage 2 Teacher to lead lessons, manage a KS2 class and support pupil progress. The role covers planning, assessment and fostering an inclusive learning environment across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

The successful candidate will have QTS, strong behaviour management, and experience in a primary/first school setting. The position runs full-time from January 2027 to July 2027, with strong safeguarding commitments and ongoing placement

Qualifications

• QTS required with primary/first-school experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons across subject areas.
• Excellent assessment and marking skills to support pupil progress.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to individual learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing; DBS on update service or within last 12 months.
• Minimum of two excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Taking full classroom responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class within the First School.
• Creating and adapting lesson plans and resources to meet pupils' needs.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording pupils' progress and attainment.
• Identifying pupils who require support or challenge and adapting teaching accordingly.
• Maintaining a positive, inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
• Using effective behaviour management strategies to keep pupils focused.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and providing a safe learning environment.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants, colleagues and the wider school team.
• Maintaining high expectations of pupil achievement, behaviour and development.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and pupil wellbeing throughout the day.
