We’re working with brilliant primary schools across Lewisham who are on the lookout for nurturing, energetic, and patient KS1 Teaching Assistants to support their youngest learners. You’ll be right there in the classroom, helping children find their confidence and curiosity — and maybe tie a few shoelaces along the way!
Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
Helping to deliver creative, engaging lessons
Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day routines
Encouraging social skills, independence, and a love of learning
Celebrating the little wins (because they matter most!)
Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or EYFS/KS1 setting
A warm, calm approach and endless patience
A team player who’s always ready to jump in and help
Extra brownie points if you’ve got a TA qualification or relevant childcare training
This role requires an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service. Don’t have one yet? No problem — we’ll walk you through the process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
