Protocol Education is seeking KS2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Southwark. This role involves assisting teachers, supporting students, and creating an engaging learning environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with children and a caring, patient approach. If you’ve got a knack for explaining fractions, calming playground drama, or turning a rainy day into a learning adventure — you might just be the KS2 Teaching Assistant we’re looking for.
We’re working with brilliant primary schools across Southwark who are on the lookout for supportive, energetic, and compassionate KS2 Teaching Assistants to join their classrooms. You’ll be that extra pair of hands (and eyes, and ears!) that helps lessons run smoothly and children feel seen, heard, and ready to learn.
Supporting pupils in small groups and one-to-one
Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
Encouraging confidence and independence — especially when things get tricky
Being a cheerleader for every child’s progress (and maybe the occasional spelling test hero too)
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
A calm, caring approach and bucketloads of patience
A can-do attitude and a team spirit
Bonus points if you’ve worked in KS2 before or have a TA qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
