Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Bamber Bridge for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant. The role focuses on delivering 1:1 support and small-group activities, using sports coaching skills to encourage confidence and participation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support pupils’ learning and development in a busy primary setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis is advantageous.
• Background in sports coaching, PE, youth work or similar welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils, engaging them in learning.
• Support children’s social, emotional and academic development.
• Use coaching skills to boost confidence, communication and teamwork.
• Assist small groups with activities and interventions.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with class teacher and SEN team to support individual needs.
