Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is seeking a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Thanet and surrounding areas, in classrooms and during PE and outdoor activities. You may be a recent sports graduate, a qualified coach, fitness instructor, or someone with experience leading sports activities.

The role focuses on helping with learning, delivering small-group interventions, promoting teamwork and positive behaviour, and building safe, inclusive learning environments.

Location: Thanet, Kent & surrounding areas (Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Birchington, Westgate) Pay: £93.00 to £100.00 per day Start Date: Immediate starts available Contract: Full-time, ongoing opportunities (Monday to Friday)

Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable are working with a number of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools across Thanet and the surrounding areas, recruiting enthusiastic Sports Teaching Assistants to support pupils both in the classroom and through PE and physical activities.

Whether you're a recent Sports graduate, a qualified coach, fitness instructor or someone with experience leading sports activities, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to children's education whilst developing a career within schools.

The Role

• Supporting teaching and learning across a range of classroom subjects.

We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

• Sports coaching.


• Personal training or fitness instruction.


• Football, rugby, cricket, athletics, gymnastics or other sports coaching.


• Holiday clubs or activity camps.


• Youth work or mentoring.


• Teaching, coaching or leading children's activities.

You will ideally have:

• A passion for working with children and young people.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.


• The ability to motivate and inspire pupils.


• A willingness to support learning both inside and outside the classroom.


• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
