Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Sports Graduate / Sports Coach Support Assistant for a primary school in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. You will support a KS1 pupil throughout the school day, leveraging a sports background to keep them engaged and active, while working closely with the teacher on routines and behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Background in Sports Coaching / PE / Sports Science / Youth Activity Leadership.
• Experience coaching or working with children in sports clubs or schools.
• Patient, energetic, capable of building trust with children.
• Interest in SEN is beneficial; strong coaching skills valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil throughout the school day.
• Use sports background to build rapport and incorporate active movement breaks.
• Assist the teacher with routines and behaviour management.
• Support the pupil's social interaction, confidence and resilience in class and outdoor play.
