Job summary

Seven Stars Primary School is seeking a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1 and the SEN unit. The role is part-time and term-time, with pro-rata salary following full-time equivalent scales.

Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications include a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent).
• NVQ level 2 or above qualification is required (or equivalent).
• Level 2 English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy qualifications are required.
• Desirable qualification: First Aid/Paediatric First Aid.
• Experience in a primary school setting and supporting pupils with SEND/additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work mainly within KS1 and the SEN unit/SEN classes.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour as part of SEN support.
• Contribute to inclusive teaching and safeguarding measures.
