Job summary

Apex Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a KS1 setting in September 2026. You will support teaching and learning, provide targeted SEN assistance, and deliver engaging, differentiated activities.

We encourage a patient, proactive and nurturing approach to help children build confidence, independence and social skills in a positive, inclusive classroom. DBS checks and compliance will be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting KS1 pupils in a classroom setting.
  • SEN support knowledge (ASD, ADHD, speech and language).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, proactive and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in a KS1 classroom.
  • Provide targeted SEN support for individuals and groups.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated activities.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Support with personal care if needed.
