Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work full-time on a temporary basis in South Shields (NE34). The role supports Year 1 and Year 2, including Phonics interventions and general classroom support, starting November 2026 and running to July 2027.

The school offers a welcoming environment with meaningful learning opportunities and a competitive PAYE-based weekly rate of £450–£500, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary school aged children.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
• An ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support across Year 1 and Year 2 as required.
• Assist with Phonics interventions.
• Provide general classroom support.
