Your new school

This Bath & North Somerset primary school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who specialises in SEND children to join their team from the start of term 5. The role involves working full-time in Key Stage 1 and providing one-on-one support to specific children. The school is located just outside Bristol city centre, accessible by bus and with a car park on-site. They are looking for a dedicated TA who will enjoy an engaging and rewarding experience.

Your new role

Specialising in SEND will provide you with deeper insights into supporting children with additional needs. You will work alongside a team of teachers and staff, with two classes in the year group, and will be specifically assigned to one of them. Your role involves actively contributing to the development of these children, creating innovative learning methods, and providing one-to-one support.

Requirements to succeed in your new role

• Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant within the last two years
• Two recent references from your most relevant previous roles
• Experience with young SEND children is desirable
• Experience working with children in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7)
