Job Description:

This Bridgwater primary school is looking for a KS1 General Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in supporting students aged 5-7 and be able to start without extensive onboarding. The school is highly regarded, known for its positive community feedback from staff and parents.

Role Details: A Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistant supports classroom teachers by providing learning assistance to individual students or small groups, and preparing classroom materials. This is a full-time position.

Work Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Wednesday & Thursday (specific hours to be confirmed).

Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Two recent references relevant to the role
  • Experience with children with SEND (desirable)
  • DBS check on the update service (can be arranged through Hays)
