Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with learning difficulties and behavioural needs in a welcoming primary school in London. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, from September 2026, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

You will help build confidence and independence, assist with engaging activities, and work closely with teachers and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the pupil.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or behavioural needs.
• Patience, empathy and commitment to helping every child thrive.
• Experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with learning needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
• Assist with delivering fun, age-appropriate activities and lessons.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to maximise outcomes.
