We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant primary school in Redbridge starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge Year 2 students, helping them build the foundation for their future learning in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 2 students in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Develop student’s key literacy and numeracy skills, preparing them for their transition to Key Stage 2.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and ready to learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and deliver an outstanding curriculum.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Year 2 or in lower Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods for Key Stage 1.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A passion for creating an engaging, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
