Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Washington for a full-time role starting September. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum and support pupils' literacy, numeracy, and social development.

The ideal candidate holds QTS in the UK, has KS1 experience, strong classroom management, and a passion for early years education. Experience with SEND is desirable.

Qualifications

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Creative, patient, and passionate about early years education.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable).
• Reliable and committed to a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
