Milk Education is recruiting KS1 Teachers for Ferryhill and surrounding areas to start September 2026. Opportunities are long-term, full-time with potential for permanence for the right candidate.

You will deliver engaging lessons across KS1, support pupils’ development across reading, writing, phonics and maths, and work with Teaching Assistants to maintain high standards of behaviour.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS1 is desirable.
  • ECTs encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of KS1 curriculum and phonics.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and pupil progress.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver KS1 lessons aligned to curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
  • Differentiate learning to meet all pupils’ needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Develop reading, writing, phonics, and numeracy skills.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

KS1 Teacher - Ferryhill

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Ferryhill and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS1 Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging and creative lessons across Key Stage 1, supporting pupils through an important stage of their education and creating a positive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
