Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher

Location: Primary school Greenwich, London

Salary: MPS/UPS with TLR

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2025

Academics are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Greenwich. We pride ourselves on our nurturing ethos, high expectations, and commitment to helping every child flourish—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Key Stage 1 teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for young children. You will be responsible for teaching a KS1 class (Year 1 or Year 2), inspiring pupils with engaging lessons, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  2. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing tailored support where needed
  3. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
  4. Work effectively as part of a supportive year group and phase team
  5. Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate
  1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  2. Has experience teaching in KS1 (either through teaching roles or placements)
  3. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  4. Brings creativity, energy, and a team-player attitude to the school community
