Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in the Farnworth area of Bolton. You will plan engaging Year 1 lessons, focus on phonics and early reading, and help pupils develop confidence and independence.

The school prides itself on a nurturing approach and strong relationships with parents and staff. The successful candidate will hold QTS, have KS1 experience, and be creative, energetic and able to differentiate for varied abilities.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Year 1 or KS1.
• Strong knowledge of phonics and early literacy.
• Excellent classroom management and relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons.
• Teach phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
• Create a stimulating and well-organised classroom.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Differentiate activities to support different abilities.
• Establish positive classroom routines and expectations.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise learning opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

With a particular focus on early literacy, phonics and numeracy, the school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire young learners and help them develop confidence and independence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
