Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Bexley for an ASAP start. The role is long-term and full-time, paying £95-£110 per day, based in a primary school. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to KS1 pupils, focusing on learning, communication, behaviour and emotional regulation.

Ideal candidates have experience with children and SEN, a calm, patient approach, and strong communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with children is required.
• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Primary school experience is desirable.
• Calm and patient approach is essential.
• Good communication skills are important.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Help pupils access the KS1 curriculum.
• Support reading, writing and maths activities.
• Assist with managing behaviour and emotions.
• Encourage independent learning and confidence.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team.
• Support daily classroom routines and activities.
