Are you a nurturing and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Southport area that is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support for a pupil starting as soon as possible.

This is a full-time role on a temporary basis initially through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:

Supporting a KS1 pupil with identified Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions

Assisting with daily routines, learning activities, and emotional regulation

Monitoring progress and helping adapt resources to meet individual needs

Creating a calm, safe, and supportive environment that enables the pupil to thrive

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEN (ASC, speech & language, or social/emotional needs)

A patient, compassionate and proactive approach

Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset

Relevant TA qualification or experience in an educational setting preferred

Must be able to provide references and hold or be willing to apply for a DBS on the update service
