Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd seeks a KS1 Primary Teacher for a welcoming Stevenage school with an ASAP start. The role is full-time and involves planning and delivering creative KS1 lessons, supporting pupils’ development and monitoring progress to ensure every child thrives.

You will work with staff, parents and carers to provide a nurturing learning experience. The role includes safeguarding and CPD opportunities, with weekly payments and supportive education consultants.

Qualifications

• QTS required and valid for teaching in a primary setting.
• Experience teaching within a primary school, ideally across KS1.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early learning principles.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Passion for supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with KS1.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet needs.
• Support literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil achievement.
• Communicate with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to school activities and wider community.
• Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare.
