Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 and Year 2 in a welcoming primary school from September 2026. You will deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Phonics, Writing and Maths and work closely with teachers to raise attainment.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 TA qualification, has recent UK primary school experience within 2 years, and a proactive approach to managing pupils with varying needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification required.
• Recent UK primary school experience within last 2 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and intervention delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms.
• Delivering targeted Reading, Phonics, Writing, and Maths interventions.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Helping to prepare engaging learning resources.
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
