We're currently recruiting for a KS1 Inclusion Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds on a long- or short-term basis. Providing one-to-one and small-group support to KS1 pupils, responding to their individual learning and wellbeing needs
Supporting pupils who may require additional help with their learning, communication, behaviour or emotional regulation
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to adapt activities and resources
Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
Supporting phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities
Helping deliver targeted interventions and catch-up sessions to support pupils in closing learning gaps
Promoting an accepting and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued and that they belong
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and providing consistent encouragement
Supporting the classroom teacher with general classroom and pastoral duties where required
Recent experience working in a primary school, education or childcare setting
Experience supporting children in KS1 is desirable
A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning
Solid numeracy and literacy skills
A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or a similar subject - or equivalent hands-on experience
Understanding of inclusion and the individual needs of children
Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working effectively as part of a team
A patient, caring and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
