Supply Desk is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Maidenhead to appoint an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a KS1 class. This full-time role starts in September and offers strong support and mentoring within a nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS or pending QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Passion for teaching KS1 and supporting young learners.
  • Good understanding of early learning and phonics.
  • Positive, proactive, nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.
  • Support pupils early development in reading, writing, phonics, and maths.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress with support from senior staff and mentors.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN.
  • Foster pupils confidence, curiosity, and love of learning.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and experienced colleagues.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
