Lift Berkeley Primary School is recruiting a KS1 teacher to join our team and inspire pupils with engaging lessons and a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

You will plan high-quality lessons, assess progress, adapt to diverse needs, and work with colleagues, parents and SEND support to help every child reach their full potential while upholding our values. This role also offers collaborative professional development within a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant discipline and QTS is required.
• Strong understanding of excellent teaching and high expectations.
• Ability to assess progress including statutory assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging lessons with clear objectives, building on prior learning and setting appropriate challenge for all students, including those with SEND.
• Adapt teaching to meet diverse needs, addressing misconceptions and using strategies to develop understanding.
• Give regular verbal and written feedback, guiding students to reflect on progress and address gaps through re-teaching.
• Build a positive classroom culture with clear routines and high behaviour expectations.
• Work closely with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support student wellbeing and achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum design, assessment planning, and homework that consolidates learning.
