Job summary

EMED Group in Sheffield seeks a Controller/Planner to manage a high-volume, time-sensitive patient transport operation. You will schedule journeys, assign the right vehicle and crew mix, and coordinate with hospital staff to meet on-time KPI targets and return journeys within windows.

The role offers a 4 on 4 off rota, £12.96 per hour, and a range of health and financial benefits including life assurance and pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated, time-critical operational environment.
• Desirable experience in logistics, control, route planning or analytics.
• Experience working to time-critical KPIs and using operational systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer interaction skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Check and plan daily and future bookings within the Cleric controlling system, informing sub-contractors and crews.
• Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure timely patient transport and KPI targets.
• Receive requests for patient transport and queries, ensuring procedure compliance.
• Perform clerical duties including data entry and invoicing as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and keep main operating system tidy.
• Liaise with GPs, nursing homes, hospital clinics and wards to coordinate journeys.
• Maintain end-to-end journey flow and re-plan resources to minimise delays.
