Job summary

University of Cumbria is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate to help academics secure funding for knowledge exchange activities, including consultancy, contract research, and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of RKE, you will lead on costing of KE proposals, coordinate PQQs and tenders, and act as the main liaison with external partners and funders while promoting collaboration across Cumbria's communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in securing funding for KE activities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with academic staff.
• Ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder proposals and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, writing and submission of PQQs, tenders and grant applications.
• Assist academics with developing partnerships and collaborations.
• Lead on costing and pricing of KE proposals; be main contact for external KE funding.
• Liaise with clients, partners and funders.
