Job summary

Aberystwyth University is seeking a maternity-cover Business Development Manager to provide strategic leadership for business development, knowledge exchange and research impact across the institution. You will progress key priorities, lead high‑value partnerships and contribute to the university‑wide KE strategy while overseeing major cross‑functional programmes that boost income and external engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert strategic direction for AU’s business development, KE and innovation activities.
• Lead delivery and progression of large-scale programmes with significant strategic impact.
• Hold delegated authority for planning, risk management, and delivery of major KE initiatives.
• Oversee governance, reporting structures and performance across multiple workstreams.
• Provide guidance to academic and professional services teams to align with objectives.
• Manage multi-stakeholder environments and enable cross-functional collaboration.
