Job summary

MTrec Ltd. seeks an Embroidery Operator for a prestigious firm in Durham (DH1). You will operate and maintain embroidery machines to apply logos, upload artwork, and monitor performance. Full training is provided, with potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Hours are 06:00–18:00 on a 4 days on / 4 days off Continental shift. The role offers a temporary on-going contract and weekly pay at £12.71 per hour with overtime options.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or embroidery environment preferred, training provided.
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Dexterous tasks require steady hands and precision.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisation and planning abilities.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• No prior experience needed; full training available.

MTrec has a new opportunity for a prestigious firm based in Durham (DH1).

The Jobs You'll Do

• Operating and maintaining embroidery machines to embroider and emboss logos onto clothing
• Operating a range of machinery and hand tools on a daily basis
• Threading reels and items on different machinery
• Uploading various programmes and artwork onto machinery
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults or issues
• Quality inspection of garments, packing, labelling and bagging items
• Working to various production drawings, making sure all specifications are met
• Full training to be provided
• Following strict health and safety guidelines

About You

• Previous experience in a production or embroidery environment (preferred but not essential - full training provided)
• The ability to understand technical drawings
• Must be able to complete dexterous tasks and have a keen eye for detail
• Excellent attention to detail, with good problem-solving skills
• Good organisation and planning skills
• The ability to work alone or in a team
• No experience needed, full training to be provided
• Physically fit, should be prepared to be standing for long periods of time
