The Fellowship is designed to accommodate an orthopaedic surgeon who has attained CCT (or equivalent) in Trauma and Orthopaedics or is on the GMC specialist register and wishes to gain further development in Knee surgery in preparation for a consultant role.

The post offers potential to develop independent surgical practice, exposure to Knee clinics and theatre lists, and opportunities to contribute to audit and research.

Formación

• Essential: GMC Registration with license to practice and on GMC specialist register in trauma and orthopaedics (or to attain by start of fellowship).
• Essential: FRCS (Orth) or demonstrable equivalent.
• Essential: Minimum 12 months surgical knee experience.
• Desirable: Audit or research activity in knee sub-speciality.

Responsabilidades

• Attend outpatient clinics, theatre lists, and related pre- and post-operative work.
• Participate in duty rota for Orthopaedic Specialist Registrars and align commitments with Knee Surgery rotation.
• Engage in research and audit programmes related to knee surgery.
• Contribute to audit and research and support development of independent surgical practice.
