Job summary

Pembrook Resourcing is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician for a busy Glasgow dealership. The role focuses on high-quality diagnostics, servicing, and repairs with a clear path to develop technical skills and expertise in EV systems.

You will join a team committed to staying at the forefront of vehicle technology, with ongoing training and a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer service in a professional workshop environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
• Use current diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults.
• Provide technical advice and support where required.
• Work to manufacturer and dealership standards and procedures.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining a right-first-time approach.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of work carried out.
• Work closely with the wider workshop and Aftersales team to keep vehicles moving.

We’re recruiting for an established automotive dealership in Glasgow that is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Technician.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a technical position within a busy dealership environment, suited to someone who can bring strong technical ability, sound technical judgement and a professional approach to every vehicle they work on.

The business is also committed to keeping its technicians’ skills up to date as vehicle technology continues to develop, including ongoing training around electric vehicles and newer vehicle systems.

THE PACKAGE INCLUDES

• Up to £44,000 basic salary
• Approx. £60,000 OTE
• Manufacturer and technical training
• Electric vehicle training and development
• Established dealership environment

THE ROLE

• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll Need

• Strong previous experience as an Automotive Technician
• Proven ability to identify and resolve vehicle faults
• An NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional approach to quality, safety and customer service
• Main dealership experience
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles
