Job summary

Kits Part Assembler role in Aldershot is a permanent position within a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. You will assemble and finish components to precise specifications, working as part of a small team to ensure quality and timely production.

Typical hours are early shifts with overtime options; salary £18-£20 per hour, paid overtime 1.5x when required, plus pension and life assurance benefits.

• Good mechanical understanding and practical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow specifications.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and hand-finish manufactured components to required standards.
• Inspect parts for sharp edges, defects and damage.
• Select the correct components, materials and quantities for each job.
• Assemble kits accurately using engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Meet production schedules, priorities and delivery deadlines.
• Operate hand tools, assembly equipment and finishing machinery safely.
• Complete quality checks, report defects and maintain production records.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a production environment. You'll work as part of a small team, helping ensure components are accurately assembled, inspected and prepared for the next stage of production.

Key Responsibilities

Working Hours & Benefits

• Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-3:15pm; Friday, 6:00am-1:00pm
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x when required and approved
• Holiday: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
• Pension: 3.5% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution
• Life Assurance: Cover worth four times your current basic annual salary
