Job summary

Kits Part Assembler role in Aldershot is a permanent position within a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. You will assemble and finish components to precise specifications, working as part of a small team to ensure quality and timely production.

Typical hours are early shifts with overtime options; salary £18-£20 per hour, paid overtime 1.5x when required, plus pension and life assurance benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering, manufacturing or production environment.
• Good mechanical understanding and practical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Effective problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well within a small team.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and hand-finish manufactured components to required standards.
• Inspect parts for sharp edges, defects and damage.
• Select the correct components, materials and quantities for each job.
• Assemble kits accurately using engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Meet production schedules, priorities and delivery deadlines.
• Operate hand tools, assembly equipment and finishing machinery safely.
• Complete quality checks, report defects and maintain production records.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
