The Old George in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to join our casual dining venue. You will assist with food prep, maintain kitchen hygiene, and help the Head Chef with orders and stock while supporting a busy, lively environment.

We offer flexible working, opportunities to learn, and a vibrant pub atmosphere with great beer, food, and events. Located in the heart of Newcastle, The Old George is a historic venue delivering quality experiences.

• The ability to assist the Head Chef with orders, stock taking, food hygiene at Old George
• The experience to maintain kitchen equipment

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Member

• Assisting with food preparation.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Overseeing deliveries.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• Work with the team to achieve company targets.

Located in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre, The Old George Inn is a diverse pub and known to locals as a hidden gem. Set in a cobbled courtyard and established in 1582, the building oozes charm with its sash windows and beamed ceilings. Our guests come from all over to experience the nostalgia and history but mostly, to experience some of the delights that King Charles must have had in this great atmosphere, a pint, good food and some good conversation with some of the locals. We offer a range of great entertainment to suit a vast audience. We host Open Mic nights which are guaranteed to showcase some great live music from some of the best talent from around Newcastle. On the weekend, we have DJ's bringing the party for our guests til late. We show live sport every day, with the full BT and Sky Sports packages for those early Saturday games and both 'Racing UK' and 'At The Races'.
