Job summary

Premier Inn Penzance is recruiting a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen day to day, manage rotas, place orders and lead a busy service. You’ll work closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure top quality meals and audit-ready standards in a hands-on leadership role.

Working 40 hours per week in Penzance, you’ll drive food quality, hygiene, and team performance, with a clear path to higher leadership roles within Whitbread’s hospitality operations in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to manage rotas, orders and costs across a hotel kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering and stock control for the hotel.
• Lead during service, organize the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards and keep records updated.
• Step up to run shifts and help new team members settle in.
• Grow kitchen management skills for career progression within Whitbread.
