Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to guide a busy kitchen, drive high standards and inspire the team to deliver great food for our holiday guests. You’ll manage shifts, ensure prep, cooking and service meet our exacting targets, and keep spirits high during peak times.

You’ll work closely with line chefs, kitchen assistants and management to control stock, margins and safety, while coaching team members to develop their skills.

Qualifications

• Level Two Hygiene Certificate required.
• Experience as a chef in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Experience of stock control and ordering.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Eye for detail and ability to think on your feet.
• Customer service ethos.
• Resilience under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOH operations on shift and be main on-shift contact.
• Prepare and cook meals with Line Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to meet dish specs.
• Help control food margins through stock management.
• Champion health and safety and hygiene policies.
• Identify development needs of team members and provide coaching.
