Job summary

Mitchells & Butler’s Toby Carvery in Colchester is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to support the Head Chef in building a kitchen you can be proud of. You’ll train a team, own the menu, and deliver great food with a passion for people. The role is a hands-on leadership position within a brand known for roast excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong people management and training skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Train and inspire chefs and kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Drive team to meet targets and maintain performance.
• Assist with food ordering, stock control and menu execution.
• Ensure compliance with branded menus and standards.
• Oversee health and hygiene regulations across the kitchen.
