We are recruiting for a Kitchen Supervisor to join our friendly team in our Coffee shop at Otter Garden Centre in Taunton, we are looking for a versatile team member who has experience of leadership in a catering business.

Key objectives:

· To support the Catering manager with the implementation of our food safety procedures.

· To Place orders for all food required for the coffee shop and support the front of house team leader with ordering when/if necessary.

· To monitor wastage through ordering/over production/ order errors and report to the catering manager on a weekly basis through an accurate wastage sheet.

· To ensure the kitchen equipment is in good working order and well maintained – Nominated contractors contacted for support and documented on the daily due diligence.

· To ensure the kitchen team are following all due diligence paperwork and cleaning schedules in a timely manner.

· Daily spot checks within the kitchen around kitchen cleanliness and food safety systems

· Support with training /inducting new team within the coffee shop – relevant paperwork stored and kept up to date.

· Help create a positive, well organized work environment for ourselves and the team

The ideal candidate would:

Excellent knowledge to all the relevant policies and procedures.
