Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen teams and front-of-house colleagues. You will help keep service areas clean, assist with preparation and setup, and uphold high hygiene standards across the kitchen.

No prior experience is required; our eLearning app and on-the-job training will help you learn additional roles and grow within the company. Competitive benefits, wellbeing support, and access to our Perks platform are included.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with the kitchen team and front of house colleagues to ensure smooth delivery.
• Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware is cleaned before and after use and service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe.
• Cleaning of all cooking utensils as required by the culinary team during preparation and service times.
• Cleaning of kitchen work areas during and after use and removal of kitchen waste to the appropriate area.
• Assisting with setup and cleanup of your area for the next service.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Operating cleaning machinery as trained and in line with policy.
• Wearing PPE as required and complying with Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH policies.
