Job summary

Searcys is seeking a Kitchen Porter Supervisor in London. You will supervise a kitchen porter team, maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene, and support in food preparation when needed.

This full-time role includes benefits and opportunities to work in a prestigious events environment. The position requires leadership and strong organisational skills, with responsibilities spanning from ensuring safe food handling to coordinating daily cleaning schedules across the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• To support the catering operation by providing a clean and safe working environment in accordance to cleaning schedules and Searcys food safety policy.
• To supervise, proactively coordinate and train member of the kitchen porter team.
• To support in the production of sandwiches and some food preparation and service when necessary.
• Inspect all deliveries for quality, quantity, packaging integrity, date codes and food safety compliance.
• Check and record chilled and frozen delivery temperatures, reporting any non-conformances to the Senior Kitchen Team.
• To ensure FIFO procedures are followed, with older stock placed at the front and new stock behind.
• To maintain stock of uniforms of the kitchen brigade and kitchen porter team.
• To comply with all legal requirements with reference to fire regulations, security, License requirements and any Local Authority or Clients Stipulations.
• To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas on all floors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, providing a clean and safe working area.
