Job summary

Searcys in London is seeking a dedicated kitchen porter/cleaner to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across kitchen and service areas and assist with stock control. This zero-hours contract role also supports active involvement in food preparation and service, with attention to waste management and data recording.

You’ll contribute to a storied hospitality legacy, gaining mentoring from experienced colleagues and taking part in prestigious events at iconic venues in the capital.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all areas of the kitchen and service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure the thorough cleaning of crockery, kitchen equipment and spaces on a daily and weekly basis.
• To be flexible to work across all parts of the building.
• To be actively involved with food preparation and service.
• Waste management, recording data as required.
• Maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean.
• To assist with stock, including accepting deliveries, counting and storing them correctly.
