Job summary

BaxterStorey in Leeds invites applications for a Kitchen Porter at Amazon LBA5. This full-time or part-time role offers stability, a competitive hourly rate, and supportive teammates committed to high standards.

You will help keep the kitchen clean, wash dishes, assist with basic food prep, and support inventory and health-and-safety processes. Free meals on shift and opportunities for development are part of the package.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Food Preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
• Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Compliance with Health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order.
