Job summary

BaxterStorey UK is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. You will help maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and support the chefs to ensure smooth service.

You will be responsible for hygiene, stock control, washing dishes, basic prep, and keeping the kitchen and staff areas tidy, while complying with health and safety standards. Join us to contribute to great hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Control and put away daily stock deliveries
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef
• Clean and sanitise work surfaces, floors, and walls
• Empty and clean waste bins
• Organise and store cleaning supplies
• Assist with unloading delivery vehicles when necessary
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Report any faulty equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
• Maintain a clean and tidy changing area and staff facilities
• Support other kitchen staff during busy periods
