Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Manchester is seeking a Kitchen Porter on a part-time basis, with 8-hour or 24-hour contracts, to support a busy kitchen at the Manchester Deansgate Hotel. You will keep the dishwashing area clean, work with the kitchen team, and sanitise workspaces in line with health and safety regulations, with full training and progression opportunities. As a Kitchen Porter (Part-Time - 8 hour or 24 hour contract available), you can expect to carry out the following duties...

• Keeping our dishwashing area clean and safe (you will loading and unloading our dishwashing area in a fast-paced Kitchen environment whilst ensuring that the area is kept free of hazards) – experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment would be a plus but not essential!
• Working in the wider Kitchen team to ensure clear communication (you will be working closely with our Chefs in the wider Kitchen team, ensuring that communication lines are kept clear) – we are looking for someone who is confident working independently with minimal guidance but has strong communication skills!
• Sanitisation of work spaces (you will be working with various chemicals to ensure the sanitisation of our Kitchen in line with H&S regulation) – knowledge of cleaning chemicals and H&S regulation would be desirable but not essential!
