Job summary

Sodexo at Royal Stoke Hospital is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting chefs and ensuring dishes are served to a high standard.

You will work 38.5 hours per week, 4 nights on 4 nights off, 19:00–07:00, with uniform provided and Sodexo Benefits. The role offers opportunities to grow in a busy hospital catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out kitchen porter duties as scheduled by supervisor.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) legislation and standard.
• Take responsibility for personal and team health & safety.
• Deliver ad hoc food and equipment items to wards and clinical areas.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to support catering service delivery.
• Complete daily records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Move food trolleys and equipment safely following procedures and escalation routes.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, infection control, and ensure equipment is cleaned, serviced, and operational.
