Job summary

LGH Hotels Management is hiring a Kitchen Porter for Preston Leyland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western. You will support the kitchen team, maintain cleanliness, assist with basic prep, and help ensure a calm, efficient service environment.

Based in Preston Leyland Hotel, you’ll work behind the scenes to uphold hygiene standards and assist chefs, contributing to a positive dining experience for guests across the Best Western portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised during the shift.
• Sweep and mop floors, manage waste and recycling appropriately.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Receive, check and store deliveries correctly.
• Support kitchen set‑up and close‑down procedures.
• Ensure hygiene and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
