LGH Hotels Management Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team, ensuring smooth, safe operations and high standards of cleanliness.

The role supports chefs with preparation, set-up and general duties behind the scenes to help deliver a quality dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to follow hygiene and food safety guidelines.
• Reliable and hardworking, with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly
• Support kitchen set-up and close-down procedures
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly
