Job summary

Kitchen Porter in London is seeking a dedicated candidate to support chefs with daily food preparation, ingredient handling, and maintaining a clean, well-organised kitchen. You will assist with stock deliveries, ensure proper labelling of storage areas, and uphold strict food safety and HACCP procedures during all shifts.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required. Prior kitchen experience is preferred, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn will help

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and ingredient handling.
• Prepare vegetables, sauces, garnishes, and other ingredients as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and cooking tools.
• Ensure food storage areas are clean, organised, and properly labelled.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with stock deliveries and storage of goods.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Report any maintenance, safety, or hygiene concerns to management.
