Bannatyne Group in Hastings is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a fast-paced, professional kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, assist with dishwashing and utensil care, and follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to the highest standard.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the kitchen.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules per Head Chef.
• Clean and maintain utensils, equipment, crockery and cookware to a high standard.
• Use cleaning chemicals and PPE safely and per guidelines.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance issues to Head Chef.
• Adhere to company policies, health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Support wider team by assisting in other departments during busy periods.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
