Job summary

Loungers plc's Mercado Lounge is hiring a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join a busy team. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, safe and organized, while supporting chefs with prep to ensure freshly cooked food is served on time.

This role offers up to £12.71/hr + tips, paid breaks, a free meal on every shift, and 50% off food & drinks from day one. It suits someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen and values reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is helpful, but attitude and reliability matter more.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen and follow hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and well organised throughout the day.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchen areas, equipment and washing up.
• Support the chefs with food prep during service and prep time.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Stick to Lounge kitchen processes and equipment guides; work as part of one team to deliver a great customer experience.
